The Landscape Work Group developed a proposal for public review in November 2006 and has taken this Stewardship Project to the Blackfoot communities and other interested partners and stakeholders.

Appropriations requests for a boiler for the co-generation facility and funds to support planning, restoration and monitoring on USFS lands in the Blackfoot were submitted to the MT Congressional Delegation in February and March of 2007.

Since January 2007, the Landscape Work Group has conducted five public meetings in the Blackfoot to solicit public comments on the proposal as well as meetings with county commissioners, interested organizations such as local snowmobile and outfitter clubs, environmental, and community organizations, and individuals. The public outreach process will continue throughout the spring. Below is a table outlining meetings completed to date:
